  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 Ounces hot espresso
  • 1 Cup whole milk (or milk alternative)
  • 2 Tablespoons whipped cream (optional)
  • 1 Pinch ground cinnamon (for garnish)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup water. Heat over medium until simmering, stirring until the sugars dissolve completely. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  2. Brew 2 ounces of hot espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop maker.
  3. Heat 1 cup of whole milk until hot but not boiling. Use a whisk or frother to create creamy foam.
  4. In a large mug, mix together the hot espresso and 1 ounce of the cinnamon dolce syrup. Pour frothed milk over the mixture gently. Top with whipped cream if desired and garnish with ground cinnamon and a cinnamon stick.
