  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Candy eyes for decoration
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 20 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp espresso powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9 x 9 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  3. In a stand mixer, beat eggs until frothy. Add melted chocolate mixture, vanilla, sugar, flour, and baking powder; mix until just combined.
  4. Spread batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  5. Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
  6. Decorate with melted chocolate and icing to create mummy bandages, then add candy eyes.
