Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Milk
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • 6 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • ⅓ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 3 cups Bread Flour
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Apple
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 4 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • ¾ tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk with 1 teaspoon of sugar and sprinkle yeast over it. Let it sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In another bowl, mix bread flour, salt, and the remaining sugar. Add softened butter, vanilla extract, and the yeast mixture; stir until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (around 1 hour).
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing chopped apple with cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  6. Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it. Roll tightly and slice into equal pieces.
  7. Place buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet; cover to rise slightly (30 minutes). Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 18 minutes until golden brown.
